פורטל משפטי - ד"ר אדיבי דוד - אורטופדSelf retaining retractor for reconstructive
procedures
In Hypospadias
ADIBI retractor
Hypospadias
is a birth defect of the Urethra in the male that involves an abnormally Glans of the Penis, may open anywhere along the Urethral groove, at the ventral Aspect of The shaft of the penis, at Scrotum or at Perineum.
50 to 70% of the cases (Grade I), the urethral Meatus opens at the Glans. In grade II the urethra opens on the shaft of the penis from the tip to the junction Of penis to Scrotum. In grade III the urethra opens on the perineum.
In the developed countries, most of the
grade I & II cases are treated surgically in
Infancy (At first year of life), and usually is done in one procedure. The repair is usually done by plastic surgeon or pediatric urologist.
The need for an appropriate retractor in reconstructive procedure for Hypospadias Was understood. In this kind of operations, there is usually a need for 2 surgeons to take part in the Procedure, because in reconstruction steps, a lot of traction sutures are used in Order to make traction on the Glans & the skin.
This retractor substitutes assistance in such a restricted place, and provides simple, Constant and adjustable traction during the Hypospadias operation on the Glans and Skin Edges.
The system is clean, washable & can be autoclaved. It is non injurious, and provides Good field for the operation, and also keeps the catheter away from the operation Field.
With the use of this instrument, one surgeon can easily operate for reconstructive Procedures, without the need for an assistant.
Sincerely yours
